Plastering & Skimming

This is the application of a finishing plaster known in the trade as a ‘two coat skim’ over walls & ceilings. The result is a smooth surface which is ready for painting or papering.

Rendering

Two waterproof coats of sand and cement applied to the exterior of the building using a trowel and sponge.

Rough Casting

A waterproof sand and cement mix with stone dust and applied by throwing or with a tyrol gun.

Lime Pointing

A traditional finish to the joints of the stonework or brickwork allowing the building to breathe. Lime pointing benefits from a soft-looking, colourful and textured finish as opposed to cement which tends to be grey, dull and hard.
